Corporation and Foundation Giving

Corporation and Foundation GivingThe office of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center serves as a catalyst to develop strategic, mutually beneficial philanthropic partnerships between corporations and foundations and the BIDMC community. Each year, hundreds of corporations and foundations make philanthropic gifts to advance the mission of BIDMC. The following are examples of how a gift or grant may be directed. Please feel free to contact our offices for additional information.

The Fall 2010 issue of Giving Matters features a story on page 8 on the Clinical Investigators Training Program (CITP), a competitive fellowship program that has for 17 years trained more than 150 physicians from BIDMC and other Harvard-affiliated institutions in clinical and translational research.  Funded and supported since its inception by Pfizer, Inc. and since 2004 by Merck & Co., the program is a perfect example of how corporate partnerships can be made with medical academia in this conflict-of-interest era.  Read a more in-depth article on CITP and bios of program graduates here.
